Skirting the Winter: A Mini with OTK Boots

I found this skirt at Forever 21 while the husband was seeing Star Wars for the second time. I love the tassel tie on the front, and the blue and black checkered pattern kind of looks like watercolor. Also a plus- it has pockets!

Now that I have my OTK boots, I feel more comfortable wearing a mini skirt in the winter. The boots add a good amount of warmth, and it wasn’t so cold the day I took these photos that I felt that I needed to wear tights. I probably would wear some tights with it if it was freezing out.

I like the little ties on the back of the boots. Even though they are for function (presumably to keep the boots up) I think they are cute.

Nars Heatwave lipstick is amazing. It is the perfect bright orange-y red. I recommend it to anyone who tells me they are in the market for a red lipstick. I featured it in this post on my favorite lipsticks.

In case you were wondering, this is my natural hair texture. Wavy/curly/wild. With a little help from Aveda Be Curly cream and Aveda Confixor. Before I chopped all my hair off I always wore it this way. But with the new shorter hair, I’m still figuring out how to tame it!
