Rusty Nail: Suede Scalloped Mini and Amazon Prime Day

I’m reading Angels and Demons, after already seeing the movie. The husband swore that the book is better than the movie, if that is even POSSIBLE because the movie is so good. But, he is right again. The book is phenomenal. I’m actually kind of embarrassed that I’m so late to reading the book.

Angels and Demons is set in Rome, so it is more meaningful to read it now that our trip to Rome is still fresh in my mind (we went in September). Now I will hopefully understand more of the references and be able to picture the scenes even better.

So the reason I’m talking about Angels and Demons is because 1. Amazon Prime Day starts tomorrow and that makes me think of books and 2. the cover of the book is a rusty red color. Like my beloved scalloped suede skirt.

Second, this skirt is my FAVE. It is so soft and the most unique rusty color. The scalloped hem is feminine and the center buttons give the skirt a retro vibe;right up my alley. I tied my favorite striped boyfriend tee and rolled up the sleeves when I put this outfit together. The Birkenstock Gizeh sandals are SO comfortable I don’t even know how I lived without them. I bought them for our honeymoon to Italy, and I’ve been recommending them to everyone who will listen. The color I have is called antique lace. I also suggest sizing down (I typically wear a size 7, and my sandals are a size 36.)
