Glass of Glam

White on White and Feeling the Fringe

in Style, winter outfits on 02/09/16

glass of glam white and fringeOutfit Details:

Tunic: sold out, similar here; earrings also love these; Old Navy denim; fringe boots; old belt, similar in burgundy here; Illesteva sunnies (via Ditto); Longchamp bag

On Saturday I went to a fun craft fair called Crafty Bastards Cabin Fever with Dan and Grace. Talented artist from the area were selling their gorgeous handmade art. The items for purchase ranged from jewelry to tea towels to clothing and furniture. I didn’t end up buying anything, but Grace had a print framed by Framebridge and I picked up a lot of business cards.

Before the fair, Dan and I decided to wander over to the namesake of our neighborhood – Logan Circle. We snapped some shots of my outfit and drank some delicious Dolcezza coffees. Dan is such a good photographer! He always makes me laugh when I’m getting stuff or camera awkward (uhh cawkward? hahaha)

Since we were going to a creative space, I decided to wear something fun and whimsical. I belted my cozy oatmeal tunic (which is sadly sold out, but I linked another version) over white jeans. These fringe boots are so fun and swing so happily when I walk. My fringe earrings add the perfect bit of color and whimsy.

Whoever says you can’t wear white after labor day is wrong. I certainly didn’t get struck by lightning for doing it. If you want to try the look, I think that it’s all about paring shades of white rather than looking like a big white exclamation point.

Linking with: Pink Sole; Penniless Socialite; Still Being Molly & Lipgloss and Crayons; Jeans and a Teacup; More Pieces of Me; Rachel the Hat; Stylelixir; Book of Leisure; Living in Color Style

When we went to Hungary for a week I knew I wanted When we went to Hungary for a week I knew I wanted to be able to come back and continue nursing Rosie. 🌹Our goal is 12 months, and she was only 9 months old when we left.

I brought along my @spectrababyusa pump with the goal of keeping up my supply. I started by pumping four times a day, but dropped to three after a couple of days when I realized that it wasn’t too uncomfortable to just pump 3 times. Two pumps were at the hotel, and one was usually while we were out and about (on planes, in restaurants, hotel sitting areas, and bathroom stalls.) I was a little shy to pump in public, but in Europe NO ONE cares. They didn’t even bat an eye. I wrapped myself in a scarf to be discreet, but I probably didn’t even have to do that.

Sadly, I dumped all the milk. I didn’t want to worry about storage, freezing, transfer, and cleaning pump parts like a madwoman. I just wanted to be as free as possible while still being about to feed my baby when I got home. It was a lot of work but so worth it! Any questions? Leave them in the comments or feel free to DM me! #pumping #babytips #nursingmom #breastfeeding #spectrabreastpump
