As for a life update, I’m headed back to DC from Boston today! I have been trying to be better about posting my real life happenings on my Instagram (I’m @glassofglam over there), so there are a lot of Boston and Newport, Rhode Island highlights over there!

So I’m finally back in DC for a full week. I have fun dinners and events planned every day except Monday and Friday, so it will definitely be a full schedule, but that’s okay. I love travel, but I’m excited to sleep in my own bed, see Dan and the kitties, and not have to live out of a suitcase for a bit.

I mentioned last week that I’m not exactly ready to shop for fall. The long summer days are still sticky and hot in DC, calling for flowy dresses in light fabrics. My brain can’t fathom wanting to wrap a scarf around my neck right now.

So in celebration of it almost being August – florals and stripes are two classic prints that I can’t get enough of. I found a dress that successfully combines stripes, florals, and the off shoulder trend! All in one breezy and comfy summer dream dress. Did I mention that it is only $18?
