Friday Fizz: Army Peplum & Some Nordstrom Picks

Finally Friday! I had a pretty busy week. I only got back from Cleveland on Sunday, and now I’m in Boston visiting my best friend from elementary school! Summer is for traveling, right? Visiting family (and friends that are like family) is always relaxing, though. Especially when you have no schedule and nowhere to be in particular

I feel like everyone is posting about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. A lot of bloggers are doing these amazing fitting room try-ons with mirror selfies so you can see the clothes on humans, and putting together beautifully curated collages. While I love the Nordstrom sale as much as the next gal, I just didn’t feel inspired to do a full dedicated post to it this year.

However, I did just update the sidebar scrolly so you can see my Nordstrom picks. I bought some unconventional things like these candles (I get them every year, they smell SO good), some pajamas, my favorite bra that goes on sale every year, and a new pair of sneaks. I’m pretty set on clothes. But if this cardigan comes back in stock, I might have to snatch it up, too.

Although I don’t have many photos of this look for today’s post, I put it together to inspire your fall transition outfits. Whenever I shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I start to lament that Fall is on the horizon. I can’t even wrap my head around shopping for jackets, scarves, and boots – even if they ARE on major sale.

You can prepare yourself now by starting to incorporate some army greens and burgundies with your summer staples, and by dusting off your denim and leather jackets. Planning ahead will help you figure out which pieces to play with come fall, and it will be easier to see some of the holes in your wardrobe!
