I was in Cleveland Thursday through Sunday for a wedding. It was so hard to leave Jake and Ellie, because that meant Ellie had to stay in his tent with the cone of shame on all day, except for when the babysitter came.

Husband of glam was away on business all week, so I drove the six hours to Cleveland on Thursday and met him there. We decided to sell our car, since we hardly ever use it in the city. It costs SO MUCH to park a car every month, and I’m the type that would rather save and just rent a car when I need it. The truth is, we would still save if we rented a car every weekend. Crazy, huh? City probz.
So we flew back Sunday morning and were reunited with Jake and Ellie. They seemed to do okay while we were gone. I always stress out so much about leaving them, but they are always fine and happy to see us when we return.
The good news is, Ellie gets his stitches out tomorrow! He will definitely be happy to get rid of the vest and the cone, forever!

I saw this blue shift dress when I was perusing Old Navy’s website to see if I wanted to spend my Super Cash. This one totally jumped out at me! A little boho, easy to style, and appropriate for fall. I think I paid $32 for it.
EXCEPT this is the dress that came in the package containing the ribbon that Elwood ate. So basically this is a $4,500 dress (the surgery cost). I know it is a lot to spend on a cat, but he is priceless. What was I supposed to do, not save his life? There you have it. The $4,500 blue shift dress.

See how I styled these booties another way here.
See the last time I wore this hat on the blog here.
A great work option styled with the same bag here.

Oh no, that is too bad! It’s really expensive to have pets at home, but they’re worth it! At least, your dress is cute and looks like it will be easy for you to re-wear too!

Oh no! Poor kitty! Glad he is on the mend! Your dress is darling and I’m loving this boho look on you!

Aww, poor kitty, I’m glad he’s healing though. I would have done the same thing–my dog was my first baby, before I had my son! 🙂 I love that dress too, totally a great buy!
Thank you, Shea. My pets are like my family!
Pets are family – so yes I can relate ! At least the kitty is ok 🙂
And this dress is beautiful – nicely worn.
I’m so glad you can relate. He is doing so much better!
Oh my gosh! Adorable dress but wow so much money! Glad kitty is better!

Haha – the dress was inexpensive! It was the ribbon from the package it came in that caused the trouble!
Cute dress and oh no about the kitty, shameful ribbon lol.

Thanks, Elise!
I think you made a great decision about the car — it can be such a hassle to deal with in the city in terms of parking and maintenance, especially if you’re not using it every day. I bet it feels like a weight off! Congrats!
Thank you. It really does feel like a weight has been lifted!
