It’s nothing new that I am a dry-shampoo worshiper. The dry shampoo whisperer? Can I just claim that title? I just don’t like washing my hair. By washing my hair less, I have seen a dramatic increase in my hair health, moisture, and strength. In an attempt to extend the longevity of my blowouts, I frequently rotate and experiment with new dry shampoos.
Since my last dry shampoo update was in January, I figured it was time to update you on my recent discoveries. Plus, one of them was a real let-down. It is my civic duty to make sure you know which products are the best, especially when it comes to hair.
ELIZABETH AND JAMES NIRVANA WHITE. This is a really good one. I featured the Nirvana Black in my last post. The Nirvana Black has a sexy perfume smell that is perfect for date night. However, the Nirvana White has a lighter scent, which is ideal for every day use.
LIVING PROOF PERFECT HAIR DAY. This bottle is currently on my bathroom counter. I just purchased it a week ago, but I can tell that it is going to be a hit. It dries clear on my dark roots, which is important because I am desperate for a salon appointment (read this post to ascertain why I’m poor now.) The spray creates a lot of volume, which allows me to wear my hair down on the third day rather than up in a ponytail.
IT’S A 10 MIRACLE DRY SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER IN ONE. I heard wonderful things about the It’s 10 Ten Miracle Leave In Conditioner. I thought that the dry shampoo would also be great. Alas, it is a dud. It made my hair greasy and shiny, which is the exact opposite of what I’m going for. I actually went to the store and returned the bottle! That’s how far my loathing went.
AMIKA PERK UP DRY SHAMPOO. This one is hands down my favorite. It smells like heaven, dries clear, volumizes, and doesn’t dry out my scalp. I think I’ve been through 10 bottles in my life. It is utterly fantastic.

What makes dry shampoo different for your hair’s health than goo shampoo?
Roxanne says
Washing your hair too much isn’t good. So the dry shampoo helps me extend the time between washes!
