Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We spent the weekend assembling the two sofas and a desk we picked up from IKEA. The new furniture is perfect for our new apartment and makes it feel so cozy.
In other news, we’ve been thrilled that the Indians are going to the WORLD SERIES! We are originally from Cleveland and are life long fans.
Right before we moved to Capitol Hill, we decided to have one last date night in our old neighborhood. So we headed to Barcelona, an incredible tapas and wine bar on 14th street. I had the most interesting and tasty wine, and the charcuterie board was everything I ever wanted.
In keeping it casual/cute/date night-y I paired my favorite black skinnies with an olive cami (I’m wearing it backwards! and I also have it in the smoky purple color, last seen in this post about my baby Elwood.) The sizing is weird, I’m wearing a UK 8, US 4 for your reference!
My white blazer is a thicker material and can almost double as a jacket. I freaked out that it is only $80, has gold buttons, and is double breasted. A holy trinity combo of price and style! It is an absolute closet staple for me.
Zaful sent me this versatile geometric double necklace and the crossbody bag. The necklace is really cool because you can separate the gold and marble pieces and wear them separately. The bag is an insanely good Chloe Faye dupe, which makes me so happy (here is the real one for comparison.) If you like dupes, I wore my Chloe Hudson replica in this fall dress post, this scalloped workwear look, and this black and white outfit.
Finally, have you tried Lipsense lipsticks yet? It stays on ALL day – I swear I woke up with color on my lips the next day! I’m wearing the shade Aussie Rose with the original glossy gloss on top. Check out Rachel’s facebook page if you are interested.
What do you wear for date night? I like to get dressed up whenever I have an excuse!
