Chocolate Martini: All Black in Hershey PA

in Fall outfits, Style on 10/27/16

These photos are from back when we were in Hershey.  I packed all black, beige, and white to keep it simple, and added a printed scarf for a little fun. I rarely pack more than 2 pairs of jeans for a weekend trip. Typically I’ll bring a black pair (styled for a date night here…I know I’m obsessed) and a regular jean.

I thought that I lost my notes from my facial in the move, but I JUST found them! Hooray! So now I can do a detailed report on the Hershey Chocolate facial! Stay tuned for that in the coming weeks!

I’m sure you have heard that the Cleveland Indians are in the World Series! We have been huge fans since…forever. I used to go with my friend Jessi when were were in grade school and sit in her parent’s seats. We always brought M&M’s (I have no idea why I remember that tidbit!)

Dan and I always said that if the Indians made it to the World Series, we would attend a game no matter what. So we had to follow through!

We flew to Cleveland on Monday evening. On Tuesday afternoon we did a little bar hopping, and got into the stadium early to pickup some team swag. The game started at 8pm and we didn’t get home until 1am. Aaand we flew back to DC Wednesday morning at 6:00 am! Joy!

The trip was exhausting, but I wouldn’t miss it for the world. It was everything I hoped it would be! If you follow me on snapchat (rsrahamim) or on my Instastories (glassofglam) then you probably saw how crazy it all was!

Regrettably and stupidly, I drank 2 beers when I knew It would make me sick. I’m wondering if any of you have the same problem as me? I don’t have a full on gluten intolerance, but when I do eat gluten-ous foods (like beer) I can’t digest them at all. So today I’m stuck with the consequences of feeling kind of hung over when in fact I only had 2 beers in the span of…9 hours. Is it possible that my body just does not metabolize beer well?

I’m gonna just load up on leafy green veggies and protein and kombucha for the rest of the week. No more beer for me. Sadly.

Dang, so sad that a couple of beers messed with your digestion so much! I guess you’re still learning about your gluten situation, whatever it is… I guess you are gradually falling into a groove and developing an instinct for how to deal with it

I know it was so unfortunate. Luckily since I’ve been eating well and healing my gut my body was able to bounce back quicker than if my body was totally out of whack before drinking those beers.
