Styling an Amazon Draped Vest for Fall
For our quarterly blogger collaboration, we decided to style a piece that has become super trendy this fall – vests!
To be fair, my styling this month isn’t as creative as it has been in the past. Being pregnant means kind of a limited wardrobe, but I’m still having fun dressing the bump this time around. I went shopping in my closet for a vest that would balance out the tummy, and I came across this gorgeous Amazon draped vest that I grabbed in the famous Nordstrom sale many years ago. Now that I’m looking at the ordinary jeans + blouse I styled, I’m thinking of so many other ways I could have styled my vest.
I would also style my cashmere vest with a long sleeve midi dress (something like this dress), or with leggings and a long sleeve tee. Those are just a couple of ideas that come to mind. If I could style literally any kind of vest, I would definitely have gone with an oversized sweater vest – like this one. I think it looks so cool and chic!
The Magnificent 8
I still can’t believe this is our third year styling outfits together! We were inspired by ads 3 months ago, did statement pants for spring, an “outside the box” styling theme in January, pearls last October, a yellow theme last July, a garden theme last April, styled vintage and heirloom pieces last January, and now we’re back with another fun styling theme.
The Magnificent 8 is a collaboration among 8 stylish women, each in a different age bracket, ranging from early 20’s to early 80’s. The mission of this collaboration is to show you just how ageless style is, how we can each dress however we’d like and in ways that make us feel fabulous. There are no age restrictions on style.
