Cocktail Hour: Little Black Dress

Dan and I traveled back to our old stomping grounds this past weekend. I love being in Cleveland because it means family! We were specifically in town for my cousin Becca’s wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and we had so much fun celebrating and catching up with the family.

The wedding was gorgeous. My cousin picked white and peach flowers with water-suspended roses in large cylinders as centerpieces. Her dress was SO pretty and perfect for her, with a sequined bodice and tulle skirt! She and her now-husband Ben looked so happy all night, most importantly!

The wedding kind of snuck up on me, so I went with this trusty black peplum dress. I know that it fits and that I feel 100% comfortable in it. If you don’t have a go-to black dress yet, I highly suggest you start looking! It is comforting to have a solid LBD in your arsenal. I linked some dresses that are similar to mine, but I especially love this blue peplum number for just $50.

Since black goes with everything, I went with bright accessories. My shoes are New Look from ASOS, and they are so comfortable! These shoes are the closest thing I could find to the two-toned look. I really love these though, because they have a low heel and come in so many colors. The blue studded clutch (which is only $18 and also comes in pink) and magnesite Kendra Scott earrings are so fun!

And we can’t forget Husband of Glam! His suit is from Banana Republic.
