Sunday after the Orlando shooting, I was feeling uninspired to write a post. I just had nothing to say, and felt that anything I had to say would not make anyone feel better/make myself feel better. Sometimes there is no wisdom, you just have to reflect.
Blogging can seem a little self-centered like “look at me! Look and what I recommend! Look at what I’m doing/wearing/eating!” It is fun to have a space to call my own where I can really just talk about whatever I want, my daily life, and my inspirations.
But since Sunday was miserable and I was heartbroken for humanity, I took a moment of blogging silence.
But I’m back on the horse and ready to post again.

I picked out this blue crochet cami dress from Francesca’s a couple years ago, and I always get a lot of compliments when I wear it. It looks pretty shapeless, but there is something sexy and effortless about a simple cami dress. Although mine is a couple years old, here are some other crochet cami dresses that are pretty darn close:
I wore one of my favorite lace bralettes (last seen in this post) underneath just to peek through and give a little color contrast. I love bralettes for the summer because they are light and airy. This particular one from Free People comes in a ton of fun colors and also comes in a halter style, which I have yet to try out. But I’m sure just as awesome.
