One of the best times of year in DC is the Cherry Blossom Festival. For two weeks the city is in full bloom, especially around the Tidal Basin near the Jefferson Memorial. With work and travel it was a struggle to get down there to see the spectacle. The crowds are ridiculous on the weekends, so driving is not really an option. We decided to walk down at sunset to enjoy the cherry blossoms with less crowds and in a different light.

Call me cliché, but I NEEDED to wear pink and white to frolick around the cherry blossom trees. I got away with it.
This Old Navy top is springy and swingy and everything I want in a cami. It might look familiar from my Old Navy Weekly Refreshment (and don’t forget Part II!)
This pair of distressed white denim (last worn in this post) are an instant favorite, and are perfect for doing touristy things around the city. My lace Toms are SO comfortable. While I thought they would get dirty quickly, I have not washed them once, and they were a bridesmaid gift from my besty, Grace, in 2013.
Have you ever seen the cherry blossoms? This was my first time and it is gorgeous! Now that we are nearing the end of the first week, it seems like the blooms are turning whiter, rather than the pink hue with which they began.
