I thought I’d take this random Tuesday to give you an update on my life. My favorite bloggers let me in on their lives, so I’m going to let you in on mine too.

I am a pretty spiritual person. Not necessarily religious, but I believe in karma and manifesting your dreams and good versus bad vibes. I lost two grandparents in the past two years, which kind of solidified my spirituality. I believe that things turn out the way they are meant to be, and it something doesn’t feel right, then it’s definitely a sign to change up what you ‘re doing.
When I went in for my third microneedling treatment a couple weeks ago (you can catch up on that here), basically everything that could go wrong did. The blood draw went awry, then the centrifuge that spins the plasma for the treatment wouldn’t work, and the numbing cream stayed on too long and made my face all peely. I was molting in these photos, which I probably why I look pissed. I used my photoshop skillz to try and smooth it out, which I kind of regret now.
It wasn’t anyone’s fault, just random flukes that all happened or some odd reason. My dermatologist was beyond apologetic, and asked if I wanted to stay and keep trying. I had left work early to make my appointment and it would be a pain to come back, but something in my gut told me that today just wasn’t meant to be the day.
So I left and returned a week later, ready for everything to go perfectly smooth. And it did! Plus, they surprised me with an extra microneedling treatment (worth like $800, umm yes amazing) for the trouble.
So, I guess things work out the way they are supposed to. Maybe my best face result is with 5 treatments instead of 4. Maybe something else was going to happen if I stayed and kept trying to force the treatment that day. For whatever reason, things happened in the right order, the way they were meant to.
Is there something in your life that didn’t go as planned? What was your response?

It’s okay! I still love microneedling! You’re so right, everything DOES happen for a reason.

I agree- things seem to happen for a reason. Hard to explain sometimes but it makes sense!

I always love that you keep it real on your blog, Roxanne. It’s so refreshing! You always tell such a great story, your outfits are well styled and the photos are gorgeous. Once when I was young, my fam and I took the train from Buffalo to DC. One our planned return date my mom wanted to spend just one more day in DC so we changed our tickets. The train we were supposed to be on crashed. It’s still scary to think about. I really do think everything happens for a reason. xx Rox-Anne, Celebratingthislife.ca
