When you find an item of clothing you love, you reach for it every day. The thrill of newness doesn’t wear out because you just adore it that much! I’m talking about my new blush sneakers.

When I was living in Cleveland I could basically get away with wearing whatever shoes I wanted because I would drive everywhere. The amount of walking I did was quite minimal. Now that I’m an urban DC girl (read this silly post about that), I have to walk everywhere. I walk to the metro, to work, to the gym, to the grocery store, to meet up with friends for coffee…Uber adds up people! And I want to look trendy and stylish without sacrificing my footwear.
In my quest to look cute and functional, I picked out these sneakers from Blush and Stone Boutique. You may remember the boutique from this post with the insanely cool ruffle top! The sneakers are instantly comfortable. That’s rare for comfortable shoes.
I was instantly drawn to the blush pair with the bow accent, because I am obsessed with all things blush. But they also come in gray and white, which are also super stylish. And they’re only $49! I took them with me to NYC this past weekend and I even got some compliments from the girls inside the Kate Spade store. That’s how you know you’re on track, haha!
As for the rest of my outfit, I’ve really warmed up to the idea of crop tops. Remember when I had to give myself a crop top pep talk? That pep talk did it for me, because I’m over it. I’m 29 and I work my ass off in the gym and I’m gonna wear a crop top if I want to. Especially this one because it is lace and my two favorite colors of all time: blush and burgundy!
