Good morning! I’m so happy Monday is over and done with!
I woke up this morning knowing and being absolutely sure it was a flannel day. However, I wanted to fancy-it-up for you. Flannel and jeans was just way too safe and ordinary for this beautiful day.
A lot of the things I am wearing are old and out of stock. However, I linked a lot of similar items that I like below.
Flannel Shirt: Old Navy, old, similar here and here; Skirt: Forever 21 (also love this one!); Satchel: Kate Spade, old, similar mint bags here, here, and I love this structured one!; Booties: Me Too, I found them on this site (although the photos of them on there make them look dusty!) and these are super cute; Sunnies: I can’t find the exact ones but they are Persol(I borrowed Dan’s because they are fabulous, more affordable versions here, here); Lips: Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in Crush; Bracelets: JCrew, old similar similar here, Alex & Ani compass and key; Necklace: old, but I love this one and it is only $8!
I paired my black and white flannel with an easy and flowy black midi skirt. You could really use any flannel shirt you already have, mine just happens to be black and white. I like dressing up so-called “casual” items like my favorite chambray shirt and other flannels with skirts or pixie pants and fun heels.
I added my favorite tights for warmth and black booties to make my legs look long!
I added green accessories for pops of color. I love this mint green Kate Spade bag. I got it when they had a big 75% off sale. I usually wait until they have a big sale, then I pounce.
It got a little windy up here, but I had a blast taking these photos! And if you were wondering, yes, I used dry shampoo today to create this hair look. I love it.
What do you think about mint green? Is it a summer color? A winter color? Both?
