This weekend Dan and I headed to the rooftop of our building before heading out to do some errands. Even though it was chilly, the sun was shining and we had to go out and stretch our legs (and get in our 10,000+ steps, people!)
I’ve been sighing every time I pass a warm weather item in my closet. I miss my sundresses, tank tops, and skirts. In defiance, I resolved to figure out a way to wear this adorable button-front jean skirt.
Outfit Details:
skirt: save or splurge; sweater: Forever 21, old; Coat: JCrew Factory(the color I have is out of stock, but JCrew has a similar style that is close); Sunnies: my husband had them custom made as a wedding present, but this style is also pretty amazing; Booties: B.P (my fave!); Tights: Express.
I just love the button-front details on this skirt. It is kind of retro, and makes it more interesting than just a plan jean skirt. I decided to pair it with an old striped sweater that I’ve had for years, and something most of you likely already have in your closet.
I challenge you to use all the pieces in our closet, even if they are labeled “summer” or “spring” in your minds. It will make you feel like you have a whole new wardrobe.

I love to wear my summery shirts and find a way to layer them to stay warm. I like the idea with the skirt too! Thick sweatery tights are the best!
