I’m sure by now you have a stack of wedding invitations to attend this summer! Picking out a wedding guest outfit is one of my favorite things to do, because I like to get dressed up in heels and a fancy outfit from time to time.
Spending a lot of money on a dress that you might wear once, maybe twice, is pointless. I found that Boohoo has a really nice selection of wedding guest styles that are super affordable! I picked out two dresses for this post that are wedding appropriate and only $30. PLUS everything is 50% off right now with code YAY50. AMAZING.

For my first option, I picked out this lovely floral peplum strapless dress for just $30. A peplum is a super flattering way to jazz up a simple strapless dress, and make it look more polished and less slinky. I wore one of my favorite peplum dresses to my cousin’s wedding last summer, too!
In terms of the right color for a wedding, its so obvious that you shouldn’t wear white that I am simply embarrassed to write it out here. Don’t feel like you have to stick to a specific color scheme or print, though. Choose something that you gravitate towards. For me, I’m loving anything floral, pink, or jewel toned.
Finding the right jewelry to wear with a strapless dress can be tricky. I’d go with a choker or statement earrings. With this particular floral print, I decided to wear my M3Jewelry hoop earrings. I don’t see the exact pair on Mayra’s Etsy shop right now, but she hand-makes all her jewelry and I know she would be happy to make you a pair! I also really like these.

For my second look, I chose a dusty pink tiered dress. It comes in a couple other colors, too. I love to dance at weddings, and I imagine that this dress would be so fun to twirl around in! I added a fun little choker for $7, because oftentimes less is more.
My fun little box clutch is sadly out of stock, but I also really like this one and this one for a wedding. All you need is your ID, maybe a credit card, lipstick (my go to is Clinique Think Bronze), and maybe a tampon if you’re having an unfortunate week, haha. Let’s be real, your phone is always out of your bag anyway so it doesn’t really need to fit. But it will definitely fit in here. You don’t need a huge tote at a wedding, people.
Like I always preach, wear whatever you choose with confidence, and when you’re having fun, the bride and groom are also having fun. Don’t be that sad shmoop that scowls at the bar all evening. Kick off your shoes, grab someone by the hand, and dance! And don’t forget to compliment everyone on their fabulous outfits, too.

I so agree, it is important to compliment women on their pretty wedding outfits. You chose the perfect wedding dresses from Bohoo. Love them both. The tiered millenial pink dress is so you as that is your color. It is so fun, fresh and girly but I am in love with the floral peplum dress and it is so me. Love the earrings too. You styled these both perfectly!
