Dress and Sneakers? Fashion police says YES please! If done correctly, that is.
DRESS AND SNEAKERS – OUTFIT DETAILS:
Two outfit posts in one week! I’m on a roll, guys. In case you didn’t know, I publish new posts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays unless I am in crisis mode. So a Tuesday outfit post is a real treat!
I was picturing the typical sneaker commuter when I came up with this dress and sneakers look. If you’re not from an urban area where people commute on foot to work, then allow me to explain. Most of us leave our work shoes in the office or carry them in our bags and switch once we get into the office. That way our feet don’t suffer for the time we are walking to work.
But unfortunately, on their way to and from work, most folks look impeccable until about the ankles. Then, alas, you’re accosted by the sensible sneaker that was surely designed for running or hiking, not to be worn to compliment your work outfit. You know what I’m talking about.
I picked out a cute pair of Nikes from Famous Footwear to serve as my commuter sneakers. They make my black dress look sporty rather than dorky, and keep my feet happy on the 1.2 mile walk to work. There’s no reason to not look and feel chic all the time. If you’re a sneaker commuter, then sporty is the angle you should try to achieve!
Thank you to Famous Footwear for sponsoring this post. And thank you for supporting the brands that support Glass of Glam.
