Quarantine Closet Staples
Staying in our pjs all day is getting old, am I right? It was a fun novelty for awhile, but lately I’ve been getting dressed and it makes me feel more awake and productive. I haven’t gone totally crazy – I’m not wearing ball gowns or sequins. I’m just making an effort to put together an outfit, even if it does include leggings or joggers!
Here are four quarantine closet staples that I think you definitely need in a comfortable, not too overboard at-home outfit.
Comfortable, Functional Tops
The key is something soft, easy to throw on (so no zippers or any of that nonsense) and perhaps a fun print to feel cheery. And you have to be able to wear it over your favorite comfortable bra or bralette. Strapless bras or anything requiring booby contraptions are a strict no-go for me right now.
Bottoms That Feel Like Butter
I love leggings and joggers! I got these destroyed mom jeans recently, and they are so comfortable that I can wear them around the house and not feel constricted. The rule with pants for me is: would I feel comfortable wearing them out of the house for a walk?
Comfortable Shoes
Slippers are the obvious indoor choice. I like something easy that I can slip on for our daily walks, too.
Hair Accessories
Hair washing is overrated, and that same rule applies during quarantine. Any hair accessories to make your hair feel voluminous and fresh for 3-4 days is key. And you’ll look really cute during your zoom phone calls with friends and colleagues.
I hope you feel inspired to put an outfit together this week! It doesn’t have to be anything fancy! Just something comfortable that’ll give you the confidence and oomph to have a productive week.
If you need some more inspiration, check out the bright and cheery picks I posted last week!

Yes, feeling put together is so important otherwise I feel like it’s just not a good day! Pre-quarantine days I was already a lover of leggings. It’s just super comfortable and it makes easy to get up and down because you know mom life! I love your distressed denim. They always so fun to wear! I hope you had a great weekend and happy Monday!

Great stay at home outfit. I have to be dressed in regular clothes (vs lounge wear) as well in order to get going with my day. For me that’s comfortable jeans, I can’t get work done in joggers or leggings either, I know it’s weird, but I feel the most productive in jeans.
Thanks for hosting the linkup!

I couldn’t agree more with your picks. I’d like to get a comfy pair of sneakers as I’m just wearing socks around the house right now.
Roxanne says
Thanks babe! Sneakers are so in right now that you’ll have them and wear them once this is all over and done with, too!

Super cute outfit, Roxanne! I need to get out of my jammies! It was a fun novelty at first but it is definitely getting old! I have been opting for leggings and joggers these days when I do decide to put clothes. And not only is hair washing overrated, but so are bras! And if I can get away with going braless, you know I am gonna!

That’s exactly what it is, a novelty! We talk so much about how it would be great to stay at home in our jammies all the time and just watch netflix…and now it is our reality. Hair washing is totally overrated, too! And bras – they’re collecting dust right now, haha!

Great casual outfit and good tips! I alternate between wearing my pyjamas and just shorts and a tee – I’m sure I’ll dress up more once we get into a routine and life is a little easier to deal with – working from home while teaching the kids is hard!
Thanks for the link up!
Hope that you had a lovely weekend 🙂 We all stayed home and stayed safe of course.

Major kudos to you for teaching the kids! I don’t know how I would do it if Sidney was school-aged.
