The reason I skipped last week’s post is because we’ve been slammed with house hunting. Anyone who has bought a home knows, it is so much more than going to see houses every few days. Culling through listings, scheduling showings, agonizing over notes and photos, keeping in touch with our financial people…it is like a full time job. Especially if you’re on a a deadline.
On top of it all, the market in Chicago is bonkers. Story time – on Saturday we put an offer in on a house we loved in an amazing neighborhood. They got 15 OFFERS! Another offer came in much higher than us, and they ended up accepting that one. Since we were prepared, we immediately put in an offer on a second home we love and they accepted! I won’t go into details just yet because I don’t want to jinx it. We still have to go through the motions of inspection, attorney review, etc…but we are so excited! I can’t wait to hopefully tell you more soon.
In the midst of house hunting I picked out a few cute spring items from Old Navy. This poet blouse has such pretty details with the ruffle front and dot texture. I waited too long to post it and of course it is sold out, but this floral one is very similar and I love it just as much. I really really like this rust one, too! I recently posted some other Old Navy spring finds – check it out for five easy spring outfit ideas.
I’m totally beat from such an eventful weekend, so I’m leaving you with a cute pic of Sidney hiding in her stroller.
On Mondays We Link Up
