Life Update
Things have been crazy around here – hence the reason why I had to skip our Monday post last week and why I’m sharing a life update this week. We visited Sidney’s grandmother in Boston last weekend, and had our realtor show our condo to potential buyers while we were gone. They worked tirelessly to stack showings while we were out of town, because anyone has tried to sell a house with a toddler knows, it is a lottt of work. Heck – it’s a lot of work even without a toddler!
We happily sold our condo within a week of putting it on the market. All the preparation and sacrifice we worked towards finally paid off. The stressful part is, we need to find a new place to live in a few short weeks. And like in the rest of the big American cities, the Chicago market is super hot. Homes have been flying before we even get a chance to see them. We’ve been incredibly busy looking at homes and communicating with our realtor and financial advisors to coordinate the next big move in our lives.
It’s an exciting time. But it is taking up most of my time and energy. But I thought I owed it to you guys to be able to come here to link up as usual. While this isn’t my typical helpful or informational post, the community this linkup attracts and fosters brings me so much joy. So here we are!
Here’s a photo of Sidney today. She is obsessed with her new rain boots and won’t let me take them off. She loves shoes, just like her momma! Hope you guys have a lovely and stress-free week.

Congratulations! This is such a big event for your family and it’s also extremely time consuming, so remember to give yourself grace and know that for a little bit you might have to focus on different things. I wish you so much luck in finding the right home for your next step. The pandemic has made the market hot here again, it was a bidding war zone when we bought out current home 12 years ago, and now it’s similar again. Thankfully I have 0 desire to move again. Again, congratulations and best of luck to you both.

Oh sweet Sidney, she is just so stinking adorable! I wish you so much luck on the house hunting! I remember when we sold our first house, I had a toddler and a newborn and I shipped them off to grandmother’s house for the first weekend of showings. Thankfully, we got an acceptable offer within 24 hours so I didn’t have to deal with all that again! I am sending lots of good energy out into the universe for you…may you find the very perfect home for your beautiful family!
