New York Fashion Week Outfits
Of the three fashion weeks I’ve attended, this one was certainly the best! I made some goals going into fashion week this year, and I’m happy to say that most of them stuck. First and foremost, I decided that I was going to be be as extra as possible when it came to my outfits. To me, that meant lots of color, textures, and patterns!
I checked a huge bag – which is actually pretty rare for me considering how high maintenance I can be! Typically my skincare routine looks like it requires its own checked bag, haha! I wore this colorful faux fur coat on the airplane (and received many strange compliments by the way lol) to save room in my suitcase. As soon as we arrived in NYC, I ducked into the airport bathroom change into my first outfit of the day. After lunch and a fabulous runway show, we lugged my 40lb bag up the stairs to our tiny airbnb in Chelsea. We squeezed five of us in a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment, but we were cozy and happy. And I’m proud to report that we shot every outfit I brought!

All About The Accessories This Year!
This year was as much about the accessories as it was the actual clothing on my body. First, hair accessories are all the rage right now. I brought two headbands – one braided velvet beauty that looks like a crown (it is available in lots of colors and in a smaller size as well) and a soft bandanna-type headband. I Received so many compliments on both! They add a little something to your look, especially when you’re working with second day hair. Did I mention we were sharing one tiny bathroom with 5 women? Yeah, haha.
I also found this rhinestone hair pin that says GLAM on it – and of course I had to have it!
Other accessories to note are my fun vinyl tote – which ended up reflecting lights in such a fun and unexpected way. Finally, the colorful snakeskin booties that I found on ASOS 2 days before I left for New York. They were just the pop of whimsy I needed for my outfits.

Upping our Fashion Week Photography Game
Having Michelle in New York with me made such a huge difference terms of my content. Every where we turned, we were instantly inspired by the city and how each nook and cranny complimented any particular outfit.
While it was pretty cold and we were freezing during most of our shoots, those cold moments fade away in our memories. The photographs that we have now will last us a lifetime – and we are so happy with how they turned out!
Overall, NYFW was a fashion success, a photography success, and we made some fabulous memories!
