Gingham For Date Night
What a fun filled weekend! We had friends over to swim, and today we went to a water park called Raging Waves. It is only about an hour away from us, and it is really kid friendly.
I’m realizing that my almost three year old having a social life is exhausting. And I know it has only just begun. She was invited to her first birthday party and I am thrilled she is making friends. On top of our family weekend activities it made the weekend a whirlwind!
We’ve been lucky to be able to get in a few date night recently, and I relish getting dressed up and going out. When Rosie was first born I didn’t really feel like getting dressed up. I felt a little bit blah and tired all the time, and leaving her when she still wanted to eat every 3 hours was basically impossible. Now that she’s hit a good stride with sleeping through the night we’ve felt more comfortable leaving the girls with a babysitter for the evening!
My gingham dress is one I picked out from an online boutique called Petal + Pup right after Rosie was born. They have such cute stuff. These pants are from there as well as this comfy dress. When you wear this gingham dress without a belt it is flowy and has a lovely triangular cut that is so unique and flattering. I decided to belt it for our date night because I’ve been working hard at the gym and wanted to show off that I have a waist again, haha! My belt comes in a pack of four and is seriously such a bargain. Only $20 for 4 neutral belts! Any of them would look great with this dress.

What a cute dress, Roxanne! You look so lovely and happy! Isn’t it so exciting when your babies start choosing their own friends?! They will definitely keep you busy with playdates! Wait until they start asking for sleepover parties. Oh, those are exhausting for the parents!

Love that checked, gingham dress. It looks like it flows and moves with you as you walk down the street — very pretty!
