When Rachel originally polled me about what makes me happy, I said “[w]hen I take some time to do my hair, put on some make up, and wear a fab outfit then I feel much more confident and put together.”

But to go a little deeper, my style happiness doesn’t necessarily come from what I’m wearing, but how I am feeling. Oftentimes people who meet me for the first time, and sometimes even my own friends and family, can’t believe that I measure in at the short stature of 5’1″.  My advice is always to think tall and portray yourself as tall! And by tall I mean confident, powerful, and loving yourself.

There’s no impressive segue way into this…but I find that a long coat makes me feel amazing. I can just float along in a structured, fun, and cinched coat. Add some heels and a great hairdo (here’s how I get mine) and I swear I feel like a bazillion bucks.

What makes you feel happy and confident? Let me know in the comments!

p.s. – See how I last styled this coat with an insanely cool hat and scarf.

This collaboration idea is PERFECT, I love it! And your outfit – I want every single item! I’ve seen similar heels at Payless and seriously came SO CLOSE to buying them several times. I need to just get them, they’re so versatile!

What makes me feel happy and confident is working out! I can work off all the days stresses and work on bettering myself mentally and physically 🙂 I’m addicted! ha!

Totally agree with you that feeling good it’s so much about feeling confident and loving yourself! It’s sometimes hard work to learn and remember to love yourself but worth it. 🙂

What makes me feel happy and confident is spending time with friends and family that love me unconditionally. It’s so great to create spaces where I’m not at all stressed about what I say, look like, do, etc. and can be totally relaxed.
