OUTFIT DETAILS:

When I look at these photos I feel like my hair has grown really fast. In August 2015 (at our wedding) it was super long (there is a photo on my About me page). Then we moved to DC and I wanted change so I chopped it off into a “lob” or a long bob in around November, 2015. That was before I started my blog, so I don’t have any photos of how short it was. Then I dyed it blonde in March (remember this post?)
Fast forward 6 months later, and it is already pretty long! I don’t have any deep dark secrets to explain why my hair grows so fast. I take biotin supplements (just CVS brand) for healthy hair, skin and nails once daily. And I try to eat vegetables with at least 2 meals a day, whether it is cut up peppers and cucumbers as a snack, or a salad for lunch and a side of veggies for dinner. But I always make of point of eating something green. Every single day.
I don’t use any fancy shmancy shampoos. I wash my hair about 3 times a week and when I do I massage my scalp really well. But that’s mostly because I use a lot of dry shampoo and hairspray and I’m trying to get it all out. I drink a lot of water. At least 2,500mL a day.
After looking at these pics I also realized (unfortunately) that a)I desperately need more hair oil and b)I need to get back into my vigorous exercise routine. I’ll give myself a little break because I was super hung over when we took these photos, so I was probably a little puffy. That’s one of the interesting things about taking outfit photos so often. I realize that I look different depending on how I feel, what I ate, what I drank, or if I didn’t drink enough water. And as time passes, I see changes in myself. Amirite, bloggers?
Now for the outfit. I picked up this trench vest from Shein, as I desperately wanted one but didn’t want to spend much on a trendy item. I really like it! I steamed the shizzz out of it (as you might see me doing on my Snapchat: RoxanneBirnbaum lately) and I think it looks great! I tied it in the back and left it open for this look. I am wearing a small and it fits perfectly.

I have been wanting a black or white long vest (luckily one of each) for so long and a company sent me a burgundy one. Knowing they run really small, I picked up the Medium to wear it as a dress but it is huge. Wish I had gotten the small. Anyway, great styling as usual and I love your hair and those sandals. I love your duster vest and those sandals are so pretty! It sounds like your hair did indeed grow fast if it was that short only months ago, it’s amazing what diet and supplements can do for the the body, right?! I can definitely see a difference in myself in photos depending on my mood. It’s so funny because whenever my hubby and I would get into a brief disagreement before taking photos, you can see all in my face that I was super pissed, haha! I’m definitely one of those people that show their emotions in their face and body language.
