I hope everyone is planning to have a safe Thanksgiving! Although it won’t be as eventful as usual, we can still be thankful that our families are healthy and safe. And for those who aren’t, we can take the time to reflect and hope they get well soon. It will be a strange year without a full table of family or my beloved Macy’s Thanksgiving parade.
I’m currently at my parent’s house in Cleveland. We made sure that we were extra careful in the week leading up to our trip so as not to expose ourselves to the virus. For the trip, we drove instead of flying, wore our masks, packed our own food, washed our hands, etc. etc. etc. Sidney has had the best time playing and exploring her grandparent’s house. Although her aunts, uncle, and cousins aren’t here, we are happy we made the trip.
Tomorrow we are off to Virginia to visit Dan’s parents. Just to give you an idea, it is a 6 hour drive from Chicago to Cleveland, and 6 hours from Cleveland to northern Virginia. We’ve done the drive many times – it isn’t so bad!
My $30 Cozy Sweater
I brought this cardigan with me on our road trip. It is a really nice cozy sweater, made of quality material! It has nice structure, and I love how the front waterfalls open. If you’re in the market for a cardigan I highly recommend this one!
Combat boots with a lug sole are a major trend right now, too. Mine are a brand called M.Gemi that I’ve loved for a long time now. M.Gemi makes the most beautiful hand crafted Italian leather shoes. My combat boots have a really fun quilted upper and come with interchangeable laces so you can switch up your look. They’re currently on sale!
