I hope you all had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend. Mine was pretty hectic because I have FOMO and want to do all the fun things DC has to offer instead of relaxing at home. The weather this weekend was scorching.
Life was kind of a whirlwind in the personal life as well. More on that another day.
Instead of recuperating on this long weekend we packed our schedule to the gills. We found out that on Friday nights the Smithsonian sculpture garden has free jazz music and pitchers of sangria for sale, so naturally we had to do that.
On our way down to the sculpture garden we snapped some pictures at the golden hour at the Ronald Reagan building, which is humongous. It makes you feel so small. I love how grand it is.
I got this ruffle top from Shein on kind of a whim. I remember seeing a similar designer version, maybe it was Rebecca Taylor. But Rebecca Taylor tops typically start at around $200, and you’d be lucky to grab one on sale. For $22 I had to see for myself.
I’m wearing a medium and it has some room, but I am really happy with it! It is a little bit sheer, so I layered a white tank underneath for work with cropped pants, then ditched the tank and threw on some shorts for the evening. My shorts are only $15 and they come in a ton of colors (BEWARE the shorts are junior sizes! I typically wear a size 4 and my shorts are a size 9.)
I’m also wearing this Natori bra which is really comfortable, lightweight, and sexy. It is perfect for the the hot summer days. I highly recommend it.
Enjoy your short week! Let me know what kind of shopping deals you scored this weekend. I looove hearing about a good bargain!
