Green Juice: Off the Shoulder Ruffle Top

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! This is the last ‘free’ weekend we will have in DC until July. So we smooshed it alllll in. We saw Captain America (which was great by the way), ate delicious food, went to Kramer Books, had brunch with family, and tried a new Crossfit gym. Just to name a few things

So Dan and I were members of a Crossfit gym back in Cleveland, but we stopped going, probably because we were planning our wedding and we were super stressed and pressed for time. Since moving to DC I’ve been itching to try it again, especially since there are three gyms within a half mile of our apartment!

I picked one by whatever method seemed logical at the moment, and went to my first class on Saturday morning. It kicked my ass, but I felt really great after. And now my arms are really sore. But I kind of love that feeling. Am I the only one? That means it is working. Heck, it should work because I haven’t lifted more than 15 lb dumbbells in over a year. I’m going back for more today after work. Wish me luck, haha.

Speaking of being fit, this top makes me feel confident. I’m usually not into ruffles, but the color combination and the off the shoulder style had me wondering. The off the shoulder style is flattering on everyone, because you are just showing off your shoulders! Shoulders look good no matter what your body type or age, which is what makes me so excited about this trend. I also love olive green, and the only other thing I have in this shade is this jumpsuit. It is so soft and easy to throw on over jeans. And it was only $40.

I’m also loving these sandals. I got them from Justfab, but they are sold out now. This pair is really similar though. They are really comfortable because of the low heel. I schlepped all the way to Dupont Circle and back in these (over a mile for sure) and was fine.
