Palm Springs Outfits
As soon as we got back from Palm Springs and San Diego, things started to get really dicey with the viral outbreak. Shortly thereafter, all future travel plans were completely blocked. I haven’t felt inspired to post anything about our trip, even though I fully intended on sharing my outfits and travel diaries lickety split.
Although our next family vacation is unknown, I hope that sharing my Palm Springs outfits can take your mind to a good and happy place. Somewhere carefree and sunny and cheery! Because that’s what Palm Springs was to me. Stay tuned for my travel guide and diary to come!
White, Blue, and RAINBOW
The first outfit (above) was one I wore to explore downtown Palm Springs. It’s such a retro town, with a walk of stars on the sidewalk, mid-century modern architecture, and Frank Sinatra vibes. We drove by the Saguaro Hotel and of course had to snap a photo of this twirly maxi dress in front. The weather was hot, but I stayed cool and felt effortlessly chic in this maxi, which is under $60!

Joshua Tree Bohemian
If I were going to go to Coachella (which takes place in Palm Springs btw) I’d probably wear something like this. Bohemian and easy. We unexpectedly decided to go to Joshua Tree National Park, but since we didn’t pack hiking gear or a carrier for Sidney, we just admired the desert trees and rock formations from the car. And popped out by an actual Joshua Tree to take photos, of course.
I adore the sleeves on this top, and I wish you could see the beautiful embroidery up close! My two-tone shorts are a new favorite (high waisted for the win)! And they’re currently on sale for 50% off. I recommend sizing up.

An Effortless Dress For Exploring
I already wrote a blog post about the comfiest flats of all time, but haven’t given this dress enough air time. It is SO comfortable and flattering. The fabric is super soft, and the dress flares out ever so slightly at the hem, helping to balance the silhouette. It comes in a bunch of colors, and is currently half off! I’m thinking of getting another color, that’s how much I love it. I have the rust color in my cart!
I hope everyone has a lovely start to their week. As soon as the weather here gets above 60 I’m going to be wearing dresses as much as possible! Especially after writing this post. I can’t wait!

That mint colored hat, I just adore! I love that dress in the last photo, too! Ahh, I can’t wait until travel is a thing again… I know it has only been a month that we’ve been sheltering in place, but it has felt like forever. Thanks for sharing these!

Thank you, Carrie! I’m so sad the hat is sold out because I wear it all the time. I agree, it is really dragging on.

I love the blue dress in the first picture. We had to cancel our spring vacation. So sad. Not being able to travel has been the worst part of this ordeal for me.

It is so gorgeous in person! Ugh we had to cancel our travel plans, too. I will never take travel for granted ever again!

Roxanne, thanks for sharing these wonderful photos from your trip! I think it is important to hold tight to those special memories. I love all three outfits, but the Joshua Tree Bohemian look is my favorite! I am so sad that I will be missing festival season this year. Perhaps things will be back to normal by fall.
