Wohooo! I’m finally back in DC after a fun weekend in Chicago. We stayed with my brother and sister in law in the city for a couple of nights and really indulged in some of the most amazing food ever. By some miracle, we managed to get a last minute reservation at Girl and The Goat (I’m a huge Top Chef fan, and it was all I dreamed it would be!) We also went to Au Cheval for legendary burgers, and dear got it was delicious.
Dan and I treated ourselves (err..more like punished) to a 5 mile run last night as a way to try and offset all the crazy good eating. I probably burned off maaaaybe 1/4 of that burger I ate, hahaaaaaa.
Aside from just eating in Chicago, I got to attend the BedHead TIGI Lollapalooza party and got my hair done in a gorgeous side braid with side-swept curls! I picked up SO much Bed Head hair product swag, so I’m thinking of doing a giveaway soon! And I’ll show you the whole hairdo in the newsletter this Friday, so subscribe if you want to see!
Saturday we went out to the Chicago suburbs to hang with my other brother and sister in law and nephews. It was fun and relaxing to be with family! And the little boys are getting so big. Sheesh time flies when you’re old(er).
Today’s look is one I’ve been holding on to for awhile because I LOVE it so much. My floral high low dress is super lightweight and under $21. It is really loose, so I recommend sizing down. The beautiful rows of detailing on the bottom with the little birds is my favorite. And the fluttery cap sleeves are unique and flattering.
Since the dress is a little big on me I wore a bralette underneath, so that if it slips it isn’t a tragedy, haha! I paired it with my new favorite rose gold earrings and a pop of color with my bright yellow bag (last seen in this casual outfit and also here)!
I have been too crazy insane busy with traveling, so I don’t have a favorite picked out this week. But please check out Sarah’s blog to see her fave!
And don’t forget to subscribe to the newsletter for a little extra bonus glam on Fridays 🙂 Love you guys.
