Happy Thanksgiving! As you’re reading this I am (hopefully) sitting on the sofa at my parents’ house, watching the Macy’s parade, and drinking egg nog. All traditions that I’ve been personally keeping since I was little.

When I was a teenager my mom would wake me up from my teenage sleep-in phase to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade. And now that I’m an old fart I wake up early on my own and look forward to the parade very year.
I know the parade is kind of cheesy, but I really just like to see the musicals at the beginning. Also, the artists and celebrities who sing (okay fine lipsync) and wave on the floats are always wearing the most fabulous coats, scarves, and hats. Have you ever noticed that?
Today’s look is cozy but super on trend. I combined four big trends this season, 1) the lace up sweater, 2) a burgundy mini skirt, 3) a choker and 4) over the knee boots. I frickin’ love this outfit!
My sweater comes in a bunch of other colors, but I picked the beige because I imagined it being a great palette for any bottom, shoe, or bag I wanted. The other colors are gorgeous too, though! My mom just ordered this rust one, which I featured in this cozy collage!
I hope you’re warm and toasty! Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am sincerely thankful to all of you who take the time to visit my little space and value my opinions. You mean so much to me.

LOVE this look girl! You incorporated all the trends so well. The sweater looks incredibly cozy. Sounds like you had a good Thanksgiving! My Mom and I watched the parade – but turns out we watched it on a different network with announcers, ha! Didn’t get to see any performances – but loved seeing what the ladies were wearing!

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is the Macy’s parade. My whole family makes fun of me, but I agree the musicals are the best! Love this look, your sweater is so fun!

Love that top especially! It’s actually been a few years since I have watched the Macy’s Day parade, but it is magical when I do. Have a great rest of the weekend!

I’m thankful for YOU sharing! I love the idea of the corduroy skirt… a lot of the trends today remind me of the 90s.
