Yes, chenille is back. The softest and comfiest knitted fabric there is. You probably had a BUNCH of it, say, 20 years ago. If you’re unlucky like me, you probably only held on to your fuzzy chenille socks and perhaps a knitted hat.
OUTFIT DETAILS:
TARGET CHENILLE SWEATER (under $25 and comes in 4 colors) | MOTT + BOW DENIM c/o | WHITE BOOTIES | BAUBLEBAR NECKLACE c/o | GOYARD BAG | SIMILAR JACKET
I was wandering around Target inspecting the exclusive A New Day collection (which is amazingly the way) and came across this soft and perfectly luxurious chenille pullover. I almost talked myself out of getting it, thinking “why could I possibly need another black sweater?” But it was under $25 so I figured what the heck.
To my surprise, it has become my absolute go-to sweater when I want to be cozy yet glam. Here I paired it with denim and my favorite new white booties when Dan and I were hitting up some shops on Michigan avenue. (Side note: I can not stop wearing these booties so I apologize but you’re going to see them quite a bit on here! Check out this post for some major fall boot inspiration). I’ve also worn my sweater with leggings around the house and with a skirt for an more elevated look.
The fit is super relaxed, too. I mistakenly picked up a medium, even though I intended to get a small and I still really like the way it fits and feels. I think I’m gonna go back for the gold color! You know you’re obsessed when you wear something every day and then get sad when it is in the wash. I also love this one, this one, and this one, but I linked a bunch of chenille beauties below!

Welcome back to our Monday link-up! My favorite look from last week was Liz from Lizzie in Lace!
Liz’s outfits are always girly and dreamy, and I love how she elevated a cream sweater to ultimate femininity with this pink skirt. Along with this outfit, Liz’s talks about what it is like to be a blogger from her hard-working perspective!

I love the feel of chenille and lucky me, I have a sweater that’s probably 10 years old from JJill upstairs in a drawer. Guess I’d better dig it out. Cute outfit!!!
Ahh perfect! I distinctly remember holding up a chenille sweater when I was doing a closet cleanout thinking “I’ll never wear this again.” I guess that’s a risk we take!
Dear, those white heeled boots are gorgeous! Love the whole look, so effortlessly chic.

I agree! Target is what’s up!
I adore this jumper, and need to have a look at these styles. I had a bad experience with a previous jumper that didn’t wash very well. Hope times have changed, mine became very bare! Thanks for sharing. Jacqui

The softness always gets me!
Oh yes, I love materials. A well-materialed shirt is like a hug that lasts all day. I suspect mom has a sweater out of that material because I remember hugging a person wearing one.
YES you’re right. I think she used to have a greenish-yellow one with fringes on it, if I remember correctly!
Love this outfit and the booties are so cute! I am looking for a pair of white ones.

Oh I have so many socks in this fabric, had no idea it was called chenille! It’s so cosy and comfortable! Not sure it gets cold enough here in Brisbane to need it, but in sock form to run around the house it’s perfect in winter, haha! You do look good in your top, I like the statement necklace with it! 🙂
Thank you for the link up!
Hope you had a great weekend 🙂 We went to a theme park, a nice way to relax after a stressful sick-filled week!
Away From The Blue Blog
I looove chenille socks! I’m sure you will see it popping up in all forms when it is winter in Brisbane!
