Well guys, it is moving day. We spent all weekend packing our things into boxes and saying our goodbyes. But on the bright side, it finally feels like fall in DC!

We decided to pack everything ourselves but hire a moving company to load, ship, and unload all our things. It will cost more than renting a U-Haul, but it will also save me from premature death.
My friend Marisa threw me a going away party with all my blogger friends on Friday! It was absolutely the best time ever, and I can’t believe I am leaving such a tight-knit and fun group of people. Basically everyone told me they would visit me in Chicago when they said goodbye for the night, so I am going to hold them to it!
I took these photos as part of a contest I was in for a local shopping village called the Rio Washingtonian. They picked 3 bloggers (one in her 20s, one 30s, and one 40s) to style an outfit. We had to choose our outfit from 3 stores! My dress and necklace are from South Moon Under. My hat, bag, and scarf are from Charming Charlie. The earrings and bracelet are from Francesca’s, although you can’t see them that well. And the jacket, umbrella, and booties are my own! I didn’t end up winning, but it was all good fun!

Julie and I just started following each other, and thank goodness we found each other! Her style is similar to mine – simple yet chic! Her bamboo handle Gucci bag is drool-worthy! I have her shoes in pink although I am now convinced I need them in burgundy too.

That sounds like a fun contest! I don’t know how fall it will feel in Chicago. I live nearby and it has been pretty warm, but it started to cool down this weekend, so I’m hoping more colors begin to appear!
