A $30 Amazon Skirt, Styled Two Ways!
I realize this isn’t too timely given my current self-quarantine attire (read: cozy leggings and a henley) but it has been on the books for awhile. But I promised that I would keep sharing things that make me happy despite the virus craziness. I hope you’re able to come here and feel whisked away from the problems of the world, if even for a few moments.
To add some fun to our lives, I teamed up with two other Chicago style bloggers to show you how we style the same $30 Amazon leopard skirt! When we were thinking of what to style, we wanted to highlight an affordable piece that’s also super trendy. We all LOVE Amazon, so it was an easy pick! I feel like I’ve been seeing skirts like this allll over the place!
I always find myself wearing leopard with a black top. Why? Because it is so easy. When I first got the leopard skirt in the mail, I tore open the package and immediately reached for a black sweater. Guilty!
Instead of playing it safe, this challenge made me think out of the box. Since I only had time to shoot two looks (hello, baby Sidney) I styled it one way for date night and another for more casual purposes.
DATE NIGHT DETAILS:

Leopard Skirt For Date Night
Before all restaurants in Illinois closed, we were able to sneak out for a date night at one of my favorite places, Gejas Cafe. It is a super romantic fondue restaurant that’s been around since 1965! Although March 19th is the first day of spring, it doesn’t quite feel like it yet in Chicago. So I pulled out a pretty off the shoulder sweater that I snagged on Amazon for $20. I tucked it into the skirt, because otherwise the look would have been a kinda frumpy with little shape. A belt breaks up the look and makes it look more polished! My belt is a dinosaur (from high school I think) but I linked a similar one above!
I had just gotten my hair done earlier in the day, so of course it looks too perfect. I’ll be trying to recreate these waves for the rest of my life, haha. She used a flat iron, which is a skill I have yet to master. My stylist is Sabrina at Hair Witch Studios if you’re in Chicago and looking for an incredible hair stylist!
CASUAL OUTFIT DETAILS:

Switching Gears To Casual
Who says a skirt can’t be part of a casual look!? Sneakers and a graphic tee are the only thing I changed, and the skirt instantly has a new vibe. I wore this outfit
These sneakers are a $30 dupe for the $500 Golden Goose designer pair, and I’ve been wearing them nonstop! I recommend sizing up – I’m normally a US 7 and ordered a 39. Here’s my post with more Golden Goose dupe options, too.
Amazon Giveaway!
The three of us are giving away a $75 Amazon gift card so you can buy the skirt plus more! All you have to do is head to Instagram and follow me, Anna, and Rachel. Details on how to enter are on my Instagram stories, as well.
