Beauty: Vegamour Hair Growth Review

Vegamour Hair Growth Review by top Chicago lifestyle blogger, Glass of Glam

My Honest Vegamour Hair Growth Product Review

I’ve been testing out the popular Vegamour products for 3 months, and I’m finally ready to tell you about them! And I have a really great before and after photo to share!

My Postpartum Hair Loss

But first, here is a little bit of back story about my hair loss and why I decided to try Vegamour in the first place. When I stopped nursing Sidney, my hair got a lot thinner and I was noticing that more than the typical amount of hair was shedding in the shower. It’s a hormonal shift that a lot of moms experience, but it made me feel self conscious. I didn’t do much about it, except try to part my hair to hide the sparse patches. The issue seemed to somewhat resolve itself with healthy eating and daily collagen supplements.

Fast forward to March 2021 when I had a pregnancy loss. Perhaps it was the mental trauma mixed with the sudden hormonal shift, but immediately after that my hair started falling out in what felt like catastrophic amounts. I would pull out chunks of hair in the shower, and I noticed my hair line thinning even more around my temples. The hair loss was compounding from when I stopped nursing. I felt like I already lost so much, and why was I losing even more on top of it? It felt unfair and harsh, so this time I decided to do something about it.

I polled my followers on Instagram and an overwhelming amount of women said that Vegamour was helpful for them. So I connected with Vegamour and they helped me find a mix of products that I could try to get my hair back in shape.

About Vegamour

Vegamour is a vegan company that makes natural hair, brow, and lash growth products. Vegamour is 100% vegan, cruelty-free, safe, and use targeted formulas for achieving thicker, fuller hair. Their products are free of sulfates, parabens, silicones, gluten, and artificial fragrance. I like that they market themselves as a natural alternative to drugstore products that may have unwanted side effects.

I personally only tried the hair-on-the-head growth products, so we will focus on those! Here are the products I got, how I used them, and my thoughts on each:

Vegamour Hair Growth Products

GRO Hair Serum. This serum is definitely the hero product so I’ll talk about it first. I use the dropper to put the serum around my hair line, especially in thin spots. Then I rub it in with my fingertips. I’ve been doing this every night for almost 3 months. The serum has a soothing feeling to it, which is super nice because my scalp tends to be dry. I think it has made such a difference! Just look at the before and after photos below!

GRO Biotin Gummies. When I started using the products I was pregnant so I didn’t want to ingest anything unnecessary. So I skipped taking these. However, the reviews are stellar. I’ll definitely start taking these once the baby comes and I have inevitable postpartum hair loss again.

GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner. This is the best smelling shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used! The smell comes from bergamot citrus, something I had to ask the brand rep about. It is just so yummy. I also like that the formulas are sulfate free and safe to use on color treated hair. Both are very moisturizing, so I personally used them for every other wash.

GRO Revitalizing Scalp Massager. If you don’t have a scalp massager, you are missing out! Besides the heavenly feeling, the bristles stimulate your scalp to promote scalp health. You can use it on dry or wet hair, but I like to use it in the shower with the shampoo and conditioner.

GRO Dry Shampoo. So it seems like a no-brainer that a product I use every day should have benefits other than keeping my hair looking and smelling fresh. Vegamour was so smart to add their hair growth and health ingredients to a dry shampoo! It is volumizing, texturizing, and doesn’t irritate my scalp like some other dry shampoos. Love love love it.

Before And After Vegamour Hair Growth

After almost 3 months of using Vegamour products, here is my awesome before and after! This particular patch of hair loss on my hairline was really bothering me, and you can see on the right how the baby hairs are really taking off! I also noticed the rest of my hair line looks stronger and less sparse.

I will say that if you want to see results, you have to give the products a fair shake and use them consistently. My results are after 3 months of consistent and committed use. I even brought the serum on vacation with me so I could keep up with it. Now I can honestly say that they do work for me. It is easy to try something for 2 weeks and give up when you don’t notice instant gratification. And trust me, I know the feeling! Just take photos to track your progress, leave the products in a prominent place on the counter, and make sure they become a part of your routine. You won’t be sorry!

When we went to Hungary for a week I knew I wanted When we went to Hungary for a week I knew I wanted to be able to come back and continue nursing Rosie. 🌹Our goal is 12 months, and she was only 9 months old when we left.

I brought along my @spectrababyusa pump with the goal of keeping up my supply. I started by pumping four times a day, but dropped to three after a couple of days when I realized that it wasn’t too uncomfortable to just pump 3 times. Two pumps were at the hotel, and one was usually while we were out and about (on planes, in restaurants, hotel sitting areas, and bathroom stalls.) I was a little shy to pump in public, but in Europe NO ONE cares. They didn’t even bat an eye. I wrapped myself in a scarf to be discreet, but I probably didn’t even have to do that.

Sadly, I dumped all the milk. I didn’t want to worry about storage, freezing, transfer, and cleaning pump parts like a madwoman. I just wanted to be as free as possible while still being about to feed my baby when I got home. It was a lot of work but so worth it! Any questions? Leave them in the comments or feel free to DM me! #pumping #babytips #nursingmom #breastfeeding #spectrabreastpump
