So there is a bit of a recurring story behind this cute little asymmetric top outfit. If you’re a style blogger then you probably find yourself in similar situations.

ASYMMETRIC TOP OUTFIT DETAILS:
ZAFUL TOP c/o | OLD NAVY DENIM | SIMILAR NECKLACE | COMBAT BOOTS also here | BAG | LIPS: WET’N’WILD FUSCIA
So the story goes like this. I take all this time to put together a bangin’ outfit. I do the hair, the make up, the whole deal…but there is no one to document it! A mirror selfie won’t do it justice, and I’m currently too shy to ask a stranger on the street to take a photo for me. I should probably get over that.
So I invited myself to lunch with my husband, then sweetly asked if he would pretty pleeeasssse help me take some outfit photos for me. Since he is the shizz, he said yes and, as usual, knocked it out of the park!
Since moving to Chicago, I have been lamenting leaving my photographer behind in DC. But as you’ve seen here, here and here, #husbandofglam has been doing such a great job. (And my mom took these!) I’m so lucky that Dan and I are a good team and that he takes such great photos for me! I just worked with a new photographer and I love her stuff so far! I can’t wait to show you guys.
As far as the outfit, it’s no surprise that I love a good star print. The asymmetric hem on my blouse is the perfect little detail that gives the top a bit more interest. And it is so affordable (also here). I also just picked up these pink combat booties – aren’t they too cute!? I linked some more star print goodies in the widget below.

Photographing outfits really is one of the most challenging parts of blogging for me. Your husband did a great job. #gohubs Who wouldn’t love a Target GC for this time of year. I would and I have no idea what I’d buy…I’d first spend a loooong time cruising the store and being indecisive…LOL. Happy Monday!

I love that whole outfit. It’s so casual chic, and those booties are amazing! I also gotta say that my supportive husband is the man behind all my photos too, although it sounds like yours is a temporary situation. He does a great job! Good luck with finding a regular photographer!

I am very lucky that my hubby doesn’t mind taking photos. But I do want to try a professional one of these days just to see how the pros do it. You’ll have to give me some insight how you do it and how much!!!
And this top is perfect, Roxanne! Not only is it a fabulous print, but I always love an asymmetrical design!!
Thanks so much for letting me join the fun today!!!

Roxanne, this outfit is so adorable! I am glad you got your husband to photograph it for you because that would be a shame if such a cute outfit didn’t get captured! I love that you persuaded him to photograph under the guise of a lunch date! So funny. I am forever tricking my husband into being photographer as well. They pretend that it’s annoying, but secretly I think they love it! By the way, I also love start prints and those boots are marvelous!

That’s such a beautiful top, I like it with the distressed denim! 🙂
I’m glad you could get photos of this outfit too! I take all my blog photos myself with a camera and tripod but they are nowhere near as good as other people taking them!
Thank you for the link up!
Hope you had a great weekend 🙂 Was cold and wet here, a bit unexpected after our warm week!
