I really love this simple long-sleeved dress. When I saw it at H&M in the basics section I immediately bought it in gray AND maroon.
Dress (in black and only $20); Boots (my absolute FAVORITE on sale for $100 and also come in black); Express tights (my fave); Sunnies (via Ditto); Belt (old, similar ish here and for $4 here); Handmade infinity scarf, similar ish here; Earrings; Lips: BellaPierre Burlesque
A long sleeved dress is essential, especially in my cold northern climate. I instantly gravitated towards this dark colored, versatile dress for two reasons. First, it was a bargain. Second, I imagined all of the different ways I could wear it.
Today, I styled the dress with a one-of-a-kind infinity scarf that my mom bought me (I also love the Aztec pattern on this one from Etsy), my favorite Express tights, and a skinny belt (my signature look these days.) These Steve Madden boots are my absolute favorites, and they are so comfortable. I might actually buy them in black, too.
There are so many ways you can style a simple dress like this one. My mind is running in circles with excitement about it. You could fold over the dress and wear it as a top with jeans, or tuck it under a flowy skirt (like the skirt I wore in this post.) Another option is to put a top over and belt it, kind of like a peplum in this post (except instead of pants the bottom of the dress would show as a skirt.) I could go on and on. Date night, casual, for work with a blazer, airport chic. So versatile!
I hope you had a lovely weekend! It was about 12 degrees when we took these pics, so if my hands are balled into fists, I promise I’m not mad. Just cold!
