Cold and gloomy weather makes me want to wear all black, every day. I’ve been working on my D.C. bar application for about a month now, and I finally compiled everything I need to submit it. I mean- they need to know every place you ever worked, lived, sneezed (jk about that last one) and it takes awhile to dig up the address of Richard Hall where you lived Sophomore year at Miami (go Redhawks!) and the street name of the apartment in Luxembourg where your host madam lived. Needless to say this application has been tedious…
Until today! I finally finished it and decided to wear all pink to drop it off at the D.C. Court of Appeals, a la Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.
Pink Blazer: old, similar here, here, and here; Pink lace-bottomed top: old, but I really like this one and this one; Madewell jeans; Revlon lip butter in strawberry shortcake; Necklace: old, but I love this, this, and this!; Crown Vintage booties and I hear these are also great.
I paired a light pink lace-bottom blouse with a blush blazer to celebrate the finishing of my application. I styled it with jeans, a flower statement necklace and gray booties.
Putting a blazer over any outfit gives it instant polish. I especially like to wear blazers with jeans in place of a cardigan to give the outfit more structure and professionalism. I love this one, mostly because it is pink. The blush tone makes it surprisingly versatile. For instance, I would also wear it with a tan sweater and jeans or a skirt, or a classic sweater dress.
I took these photos on the roof of my building with my camera tripod. Yep, just me! As you can probably tell, we had a little fun.
Thanks for reading!
