Olive You, 2021!
Happy first post of 2021! I’m just now realizing that Glass of Glam has been around for five whole years. I wrote my first post on December 24, 2015 (the post is super short), and here we are five years later. Wow. I never would have thought that this little piece of the internet would bring me so much happiness, foster so many friendships, and inspire me to learn and grow in so many ways. I’m so thankful for all of you who continue to read and follow and support – thank you.
But here we are in a brand new year, on the mondayest Monday of the year. I guess that’s what happens when New Years Eve falls right before a weekend! We had New Years Eve, then a whole weekend to chill out, and now we finally get back to the grind again. But I think a fresh start is what we all truly need right now.
Olive Clothing Vibes
At our Saugatuck Cabin getaway, we had an amazing wood burning fireplace. We kept it going nearly all day, so we were always running in and out of the cold to grab more firewood. I’m not a rustic type, but I really enjoyed the cozy fireplace.
We popped out onto the cold, frosty patio to grab some firewood, and I didn’t even mind the dirty logs. Imagine that! I wore the comfiest outfit that day – my favorite jeans of all time, a perfect olive-green waffle henley that I found on Amazon, and cozy thick cabin socks. I tossed on Dan’s beloved olive green Barbour jacket to stay warm. I think I might need one of my own someday!
I’m really into earthy tones lately, especially olive green. It matches everything and it’s a calming hue, too! Here are a few of my favorites in this lovely tone.
