Since the government is shut down, I thought it was only fitting to show my USA pride with some patriotic colors…minus the red. And in the resourceful American way, I’m complimenting them with some REALLY great designer dupes at prices you won’t even believe.

So in my opinion, the real show-stopper of this outfit is my designer dupes Gucci belt. No it’s to real, but it looks so real that I even have myself fooled. You’ve probably seen girls wearing this belt ALL over instagram. Why? Because it is freaking fabulous and goes with literally everything.
Replica is a nice way of saying a fake. I know that the purchase of replica designer dupes is controversial, but in my personal opinion I think it is okay. A real Gucci belt is between $350 and $500 (depending on which style you get), and since we are trying to save for a house I just don’t have that kind of money to spend on a belt. So when I saw this one on Amazon for just $15, I decided to take the gamble.
It took awhile to arrive and I had to put a couple more holes in it to make it fit correctly, but I LOVE it so much. I just ordered it in black, too. The buckle isn’t as big as it is on the real one, but I still think it is really chic, versatile, and cute. And since I only paid $15 for it, I don’t feel like I have to wear it every single day to get my money’s worth.
My bag is a Chloe designer dupe, too. It looks just like the Chloe Nile bracelet bag, but I paid a fraction of the price. The seller I used sold out, but I found this one in stock in 7 colors for just $12. Just so we are clear, you can purchase EVERY single color and still not spend as much as the real one, HA. So knock yourself out! I’m going to get it in white, too!

I don’t buy designer pieces either and would totally go the dupe route, too…especially with the government shut down…since we won’t getting a pay check until it’s resolved! Ha. The upside of the shut down, however, is that my husband was supposed to leave this morning for 3 weeks and all travel has been halted. So he will be staying home for now!
