This past week we went on a huge road trip! We drove 6 hours from Chicago to Cleveland to visit my folks, then continued on to Washington, DC to visit Dan’s parents and sister. Then alll the way back to Chicago! It was nice to break up the trip that way, since Cleveland is right in the middle between Chicago and DC! I admit I brought this skirt with me but didn’t wear it once. Since we were chilling with our parents I wore yoga pants most of the time!
I LOVE wearing mini skirts for Fall! Wear it to work with a button down or turtleneck, or out to drinks with friends with a chunky sweater tucked in and your favorite new booties (these are mine). They’re a fall closet staple of mine.
When I wore this outfit, we went out to lunch at a new restaurant on the river called Pizzeria Portofino. See that funny looking building in the background? We call those the corn cobb buildings! There are two, but you can’t see the other one from this view.
I love this rust-colored corduroy mini skirt SO much and I can’t wait to style it a million different ways. With chambray, a white button down, a striped sweater, and a cami + blazer (just to name a few). This sweater is a new favorite of mine because it is sooo SOFT, and it comes in 6 colors! I might need it in leopard, too 😉
Here are a handful of ways I styled mini skirts in the past! Which is your fave?
Here are some mini skirts I found and LOVE that are all under $50! Happy styling, and I hope you guys have a fab week!

You look so darling! I love this skirt and want to find one that isn’t overly short. Back in the day, when we lived in Chic., a friend of mine lived in the “corn cob” apartment :).

I am so glad to hear that your trip went well! Visiting family is always a good time and of course, getting out of the house is always a good idea. Btw, I see what you mean about those buildings – they do look like corn cobbs! I love the color of your featured mini skirt. It’s so rich and beautiful.
