The January Blues
Perhaps I’m only speaking for myself, but January can be a tough month for bloggers. After working so hard to churn out holiday content that hopefully sets fire to the internet, it’s natural to feel a little bit out of creative juices. Admittedly, I’m out of fresh content, haha. Which is why I’m posting these photos from the fall that I totally forgot to post before the holiday season hit!
The good news is, I set a lot of goals for Glass of Glam this year, and I’m ready to jump in and start accomplishing them. Michelle and I are shooting on Wednesday, which will be wonderful to get back into the creative swing of things. Plus, January is my birthday month so I can’t be in too much of a slump!
We shot these photos when the leaves were still on the trees at the Lincoln Park boardwalk. Even though we are in the middle of the city, it looks like we are in a field of grass and trees. I love that about Chicago – there’s so many beautiful green spaces where you can get a respite from the tall buildings and traffic. We really wanted to show off the sleeves of this checkered dress, which are absolutely spectacular. Hence the dance-y poses. I originally saw the dress on Shopbop.com, but it was totally out of my price range. So when it popped up on Rent the Runway, I rented it immediately! Remember this sequin dress and this gorgeous raspberry number? Those are from Rent the Runway, too!
