The Perfect Denim Jacket
I love a denim jacket. I’ll admit that at this point in my life I have a healthy collection of jean jackets. None of them are the same, though! Stretchy, non-stretch, light wash, dark wash, cropped, tailored…I need them all.
I distinctly remember the time my mom took me shopping at the outlet mall when I was a teen. We went into the Guess outlet and found the cutest dark wash denim jacket! It had brass buttons and was a classic cut, yet slightly cropped. I still have and wear it to this day! I remember wearing it in the spring when school was out and feeling so good in it. Although now it doesn’t quite button, haha.
Ever since that original jean jacket experience, a good denim jacket has been an integral part of my fall wardrobe. The greatest part is that you can have more than one and not even feel badly about it. So many retailers make them, so you don’t even need to spend a lot to find your perfect fit. Even if you do spend a bit more, check out my cost per wear justification.
When I was recently out shopping and tried on this one, I needed to have it. It has the perfect amount of stretch and is in a wash that is so classic. It has happily made a home in my coat closet and I know I’ll be wearing it for the next 30 years! I recommend sizing down because it does run large.
