I am SO excited to finally show you Baby Glam’s nursery reveal!
It has been a labor of love and a decorating experience I will never forget. I mean – who forgets putting together their first baby’s nursery!? So in this post I’ll be sharing all of the design elements and pieces that make this baby girl nursery so special.
First, let’s discuss the backdrop and canvas for the entire mood of the room: the paint!
EasyCare Ultra Premium Paint in Poem
True Value and EasyCare Ultra Premium Paint were generous enough to sponsor this post and provide paint for our baby girl nursery! We knew that the beige we had in there wasn’t going to make us happy. We wanted to create a calming and soothing environment that would make us light up when we spend long nights in her room.
Since we decided to paint the room ourselves, it was important to us that we chose a paint that is pretty foolproof – EasyCare Paint is a paint-and-primer in one and super durable. Since we are painting our baby’s nursery, we also wanted to make sure we chose a paint that , is low-odor, low VOC and 100% acrylic. EasyCare checks all those boxes. We also found out that it is also Asthma and Allergy Friendly and Certified certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) because it minimizes irritants and pollutants in the air, creating healthier indoor environment for our nursery. Because it minimizes irritants, it also allowed us to enjoy the space sooner – basically, I didn’t have to abandon our apartment for a week while the paint dried and the minimal paint odor dissipated. I didn’t know paint was so sophisticated!
I treated choosing the paint shade like the most important decision in the WORLD. There are SO many shades, but I narrowed it down to 6, and finally chose this calming purple-blue called Poem in the eggshell finish. The color is very subtle, but still very soothing – which is exactly what we wanted. You can check out EasyCare Ultra Premium Paint at True Value stores nationwide and at many independent paint and hardware retailers! I recommend visiting the Store Locator on www.TrueValue.com to find a retailer near you.
Crib & Dresser – c/o Delta Children
We decided to go with classic baby furniture rather than trendy. Delta is a fabulous brand that is safe, well-known, and affordable. I love that the Delta crib we chose (it is called the Middleton) converts into a toddler bed and eventually a full-sized bed! The dresser has deep drawers that fit so much stuff in them. In our 1,200 square foot apartment, every inch of storage counts. The drawers glide easily, and the entire piece feels very sturdy. We chose the color white because it is classic and neutral and I think it makes the space look bigger than it is!
Changing Pad c/o Delta Children
The changing pad wipes down to minimize messes, and I think the sleepy sheep print is so cute. I ended up purchasing the dresser topper myself so that the changing pad wouldn’t slide around.
Crib Mattress c/o Nook
I admit that choosing a crib mattress can be so overwhelming, but I feel really confident about the one we have. The Nook Dream Cotton crib mattress is eco-friendly (check out the list of amazing credentials here), and the cover is machine washable! So you won’t even need crib sheets! I love how soft it is every time I run my hand over it.
Animal Prints c/o Desenio (flamingo cone | succulent lion | zebra balloon | bubblegum giraffe)
These whimsical prints from Desenio always make me smile. I kept imagining myself sitting up in the middle of the night with the baby, and wondering what I would want to look at. After perusing Desenio’s vast collection, we chose four fun animal prints that make us really happy. The bubblegum giraffe might be my favorite! We were also able to get the perfect-sized gold frames from Desenio, so it was the easiest shopping experience ever. Make sure you check out my Instagram because I’ll be providing a discount code in the near future.
Lulu & Georgia Rug
There are little blue accents in the rug, going with the pastel calming vibe we tried to create. I also like that is is fairly gender neutral.
Wayfair Glider
It glides and reclines, and is easily the most comfortable chair I’ve ever sat in.
CB2 Accent Table
Pottery Barn Filigree Mirror
A gorgeous mirror that in a unique vintage shape. Another splurge, but totally worth it in my opinion.
Pottery Barn Kitty Hamper
A total splurge, but I really needed it.
West Elm Table Lamp
There’s a USB charger in the base. Genius!
Book Shelf
Floating Wall Shelving from Home Depot
Picasso hanging print from Ikea
Diaper Pail
Thank you to TrueValue and EasyCare Ultra Premium Paint for sponsoring this Nursery Reveal post. As always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Glass of Glam!
