There are two new Alba Botanica™ products I just discovered that you need to know about! And as if you needed more of a reason to check them out – they’re Hawaiian themed!
Aloha lovelies! Remember when I raved about Alba Botanica’s acne line? I’m still using the scrub to wake up my skin, and although I’ve been (fingers crossed) pimple-free for awhile now, I’m loving the pimple fix for emergencies.
You all know that I’m a skincare nut. And when I discover something new that I love that works I just want to shout it from the rooftops. And this time it’s for my Spring Skincare.
MY SPRING SKINCARE WITH ALBA BOTANICA
A Little Bit About Alba Botanica™
Alba Botanica™ was founded in 1979 with the mission of making botanically-based, 100% vegetarian beauty products. After writing my previous post about them I heard a lot of feed back from you guys that you love their products and swear by them! I love how easy it is to find such natural and organic products where you likely already shop!
Hawaiian Detox Warming Mud Mask
Some impressive stats for your perusal:
- hypo-allergenic;
- No animal testing (meow!);
- No harsh sulfates (yay!);
- Ideal for oily or blackhead-prone skin;
- Softens and primes pores for maximum extraction of stubborn pollutants embedded within skin;
- Over 92% of consumers tested said their skin felt deeply cleansed and detoxified after using the mask.
It might sound counter-intuitive to use a warm mask in warm weather, but hear me out. It feels SO great. As you wear the mask, it slowly warms up until it feels like a nice friendly hug on your face. Am I describing that well? It is made of mineral-rich volcanic clay that gently exfoliates as you apply it, then as it sits on your face it soaks up the dirt, oil and bacteria that cause your complexion to look ruddy and congested.
The Detox Warming Mud Mask is quite thick so it doesn’t slide off when you’re (naturally) trying to be fabulous and read magazines whilst lying in a bed of roses.
Hawaiian Sunscreen Coconut Clear Spray SPF50
Some stats for ya:
-
-
- Broad spectrum protection;
- Water resistant (for 80 minutes);
- Air-powered spray;
- Coral reef safe & biodegradable;
- Gluten free;
- No animal testing (meow!);
- No harsh sulfates (yay!)

When I talked about my skincare saviors, I mentioned that I love these types of spray on sunscreens for when I forget to apply a cream SPF. Now, I actually prefer an SPF spray as a makeup setting topper. The Alba Botanica™ Coconut Clear Spray is lovely because it smells yummy, goes on clear, and doesn’t clog my pores! It is so easy to apply before you go for a spontaneous walk or decide to sit on the patio and have some rosé (see what I’m talking about in this post).
Thank you Alba Botania™ and Her Campus Media for sponsoring this Spring skincare post. And thank you to the Conrad Chicago for allowing us to shoot in your hotel. As always, all opinions are my own. And thank you for supporting the brands that support Glass of Glam!

That’s quite a good profile for the mud mask. I’ve heard a lot of good things about that. I definitely need to try it asap! Thanks for the recommendation dear.

I love the idea of the clear spray! I always leave a bottle of spray SPF at my front door so I can spritz before going outside but I have to say that it leaves me with a sticky feeling that I do not enjoy at all. I’m going to have to check out this brand, thanks for the intro! xx Rox-Anne

That’s super smart to leave the sunscreen by the door! I’ve been leaving mine in a really accessible place too for a quick spritz. This one doesn’t feel sticky at all, though.

That could be the sunscreen that would work for my hubby. His eyes are so sensitive with so many of them!!
Great photos, Roxanne!!

You guys might just have to try it. It doesn’t have that icky sunscreen smell either. Thanks so much, Jodie!
