If you follow me on instagram, you noticed I was in NYC this weekend! Dan and I took an express bus from DC to NYC Saturday morning to meet up with my mom, brother, cousin, and friend Howard. We basically did a blitz tour for the 30 waking hours we were there.

Our bus dropped us on 8th ave and W31st, so we went to the Macy’s flower show to take a peek and caffeie-nate.The show was beautiful!
We ate ate Keste Pizza in the West Village (their gluten free crust is SO good), then spent the rest of the afternoon walking around Battery Park and enjoying the beautiful weather and views. We popped into a brand new restaurant called Pier A, which I can’t wait to go back to next time. It is a yucky old pier that they restored into a gorgeous HUGE seafood restaurant.
We also had the opportunity to see the 9/11 memorial for the first time. It was really powerful. I want to go to the museum when we have more time.
Half of our group headed to NJ to visit friends for dinner, so we skipped to our favorite spot in Chinatown, Wo Hop. Birnbaums have been going to this place for 4 generations, so who are we to break the tradition!? We Birnbaums dream about lobster cantonese. Seriously. We sealed the night with some live music at The Red Lion.
For the 4 hour bus ride from DC to NY I decided to wear these boyfriend jeans with a soft tee. Simple and comfortable. Justfab says these are slim boyfriend jeans, but I sized up so that they would be a little baggier, and just cuffed the hems.
I was skeptical to try clothing from justfab, as they are typically known for their shoes. But these jeans are awesome and super affordable! I also just ordered these shoes (they look just like the Steve Madden Slithur only less expensive!) and can’t wait to wear them. I really love how effortless this look is, while still being stylish enough to keep up with the on-trend New Yorkers.
