My heart feels right when I keep it simple in a jeans and a tee. I love dressing up, but sometimes being grounded in basics is best.
I’d like to introduce you to one of my new favorite brands, Mindful Tee. They create simple tees that are elevated by the concepts they stand for. The designs are meant to inspire, and remind us to be present and self-aware.
I picked out a few designs, but it was honestly hard to choose because they are all so intriguing.

About Mindful Tees
The concept that drives Mindful Tee is that we should be aware of what we wear! Their motto is “take care and be mindful.” We should wear something we thing is beautiful, but at the same time, we should be aware of things other than just a logo on our shirts, like the forms, shapes, and colors.
We should also be conscious of how our clothing feels. These tees are soft and comfortable, and allow you to move about.
It is also important to me that Mindful Tee operates with respect for the rights of all individuals, respect for the environment, zero child labor, and prints and ships from the United States!
My Picks
The Ink Lion baseball t-shirt is my favorite of the bunch. The baseball tee is extremely soft. I’ve been wearing it so much that I think my husband wants to know when I am going to wear something different! The lion design makes me feel strong and powerful, and reminds me that I am a fierce force.
The Yoga Geometry Abstraction racerback tank is so unique. The design is very zen, as it is circular and symmetrical. If we’re talking about practicality, I love soft tanks for exercise and travel because they are easily layer-able. You could also tie the edge of this tank to make it into a crop for a different look.
The Pattern 2 long sleeve scoop neck is one of the only prints on Mindful Tee’s website that includes multiple colors. The tee feels plush and soft on the inside, and I really like the boat neck style.
Finally, the If Not Now, When? tee. It is SO so soft, you could wear it as pajamas. The saying “if not now, when” reminds me of a song we used to sing in hebrew school that borrowed its lyrics from a famous ethical Rabi named Hillel the Elder. He said “If I am not for myself, who will be fore me? If I am not for others, what am I? And if not now, when? It is basically about the struggle of self. And to me it screams “stop procrastinating!”
(I am reading the company founder’s blog and just realized the creator was thinking of the same quote when he created this tee! Pretty amazing.)
Finding Your Mindful Self
We are all trying to be a better person, do something bigger, or looking for whatever that next step is. Some of us just need a little boost to inspire and kick us on the pants. I’ll be skipping the shirt that says “but first, coffee” because it is putting an excuse in font of my dreams. I’ll be rocking my “Life Hustler” shirt or “If Not Now, When?” tee to inspire me to take the challenge.
