Lately I’ve been thinking about being too busy. Always running from one thing to another. Lawyering all day then coming home and working on this blog while trying to stay healthy and maintain a loving relationship with my husband (and cats). And let’s not even get started on all the events! It’s crazy.
If I don’t learn to say no, then I will start so spread myself too thin.

But I think that another way to say you are busy is to say that your life is full. It is full of doing, being, and improving.
I don’t want you to think I am complaining about all the events I get to go to every week. DC is an incredible city and I’ve made soul-deepening friendships that I can’t imagine my life without. But going to events is also part of my job, as networking is a necessity of owning your own fashion website.
Sometimes I look at my calendar (this one to be exact) and go “woahh there! How did I suddenly have an event every single day this week!?” I’m SURE many of you can relate! Where is the time for watching Westworld and lumping with my husband and cats?! (Westworld is extremely creepy and impossible to binge-watch, but that’s for another blog post).
Although I put myself out there almost every day, I am naturally an introvert. I relish my time alone, and actually have to get amped up for any social gathering. I still love going out and socializing, but without that “me” time I am a hot mess.
So I’m learning to say “no” sometimes for my own sanity. And I’m just getting closer to my dream of being a crazy cat lady. It’s okay to say no sometimes, right?

I can relate and I think being full is a good way to put it. The color of your dress is so pretty and I love your bag!

I tend to do this too. But as an introvert, I find I have to be careful about who and what I say no to because it can end up hurting people’s feelings when I say no to friends as opposed to “events.”

It is okay! And girl, I am the SAME way! I’d rather be at home with my boyfriend, watching movies, being lazy. My weeks a full of work/working out/meal prep and by the time the weekend rolls around I want to veg haha There are times I just need to be by myself too. I wish I lived closer to DC so I could attend more events!

I can totally relate to having a crazy schedule, especially recently. Sometimes I feel more productive when I have a smaller amount of time. You are right though, you must learn to say o to somethings. Love this dress. The color is gorgeous!
