While fall not yet arrived in DC, I’m already thinking about the cozy sweaters I’m going to live in come fall. Here’s a fun little collage of all the sweater styles I’ve been loving. Make sure you get your hands on some of these before they go out of stock! They always do.
11 amazing and unforgettable days in France. That’s potentially A LOT of clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories. I find that a trip is much more enjoyable when I pack light, keep it simple, and recycle clothing in innovative ways.
Here’s all the clothing I packed for my 11 day trip to France at the end of August, in a small roller carry on bag. I also had my toiletries, makeup, camera, computer, and enough room to bring home 3 bottles of wine and some small souvenirs. Schlepping around a huge rolling bag is absolutely impossible if you’re running around a country trying to see all the sights. If you’re staying put, then fine. But we went to Nice, Ville-Franche Sur Mer, Monaco, Arles, Avignon, Honfleur, Bayeux, Mont. St. Michel, Versailles, and Paris. WHEW!
We finally made it to Friday. We’ve been having some cooler days and nights in DC, which gets me thinking about shifting to fall colors and styles. But at the same time, August can still be hot and sticky. Stripes are a great way to slowly transition away from summer brights while still remaining cool and on trend.
It’s finally summer and I am SO HAPPY! It has been a hot second since I created a collage like this one, but I felt the urge to make one in honor of summer. I love wearing girly flowy things, swimsuits, hats, straw bags, you name it. I wish it could be summer all year round. Umm maybe I should just move to Florida.
I have so many fun things planned this summer that I need outfits for! I’m going to Rhode Island for a bachelorette party for my dear friend from 2nd grade, events around DC, and France with Dan in August!
Dan and I went straight to sunny Florida after visiting with family in Cleveland. He has a law conference in Jupiter (it is about an hour and a half north of Fort Lauderdale) and I came along for the sunshine.
Being down here reminds of the embroidery trend I love so much.

All the bloggers are freaking out over the Shopbop.com buy more save more sale. Spend $200 get 15% off, spend $500 get 20% off…blablabla. Well these “stock up” sales never really excite me. What if I don’t want to spend $200? What if I just want a $30 dress, and that’s it? Or what if I spend $150. That’s still alot! But…no sale code for you.
That’s where I come in. Here are some things from Shopbop.com that you can afford without the damn sale.
I’ve been wanting to do this post for a long time. I’m going to visit my sister in Brooklyn this weekend and she LOVES a bargain. At my core, I’m a bargain hunter, too.
So in honor of my sister, let’s get down to BUSINESS and talk about all these amazing under $30 finds!
